Station located in the Foyer and Carpark
Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, disrespectful talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Jesus forgave you. – Ephesians 4:31-32
Forgiveness can be hard, especially when we have been hurt or let down by someone else. Forgiveness can feel hard, even impossible at times.
When we forgive it does not mean we have to go back into a friendship or a relationship. But forgiveness can a step to help us process and move forward. God invites up to forgive others as God forgive us.
Take a piece of paper and write the name of something you want to forgive.
You might feel you ready to forgive them. You might feel like you have tried to forgive them before, but are still feeling hurt. You might not feel ready to forgive them yet, by maybe by writing their name you are asking God for help to be ready to forgive.
Fold your paper and take it outside to the fire pit. When you are ready, carefully place it in the fire.
You may wish to spend a few minutes outside afterwards.
~At Home Variation~
Couldn’t make it in person or want to continue this station at home?
Instead of burning your piece of paper you could tear it up, put it through a shredder or even bury it outside.
